did BCPs decrease your sex drive? Mine is already damaged from the prozac and now I'm going to be taking BCPs on top of that. I like my sex drive and don't want to lose the small amount that's left

I have NO sex drive since starting the bcp's two months ago, and I mean none, zilch, nadda, big fat ZERO.

PCOS Dx in 1991, no treatment
9/03 started 1000mg Glucophage XR
1/22/04 Increased to 1500mg Glucophage XR
3/05 Reluctantly started Mircette to stop a 4 month AF
5/23/05 Laparoscopy done - Diagnosed with Endometriosis

Current Meds: 1500mg of Metformin ER, Mircette BCP(continuously, not taking the 4th week) & Lexapro 10mg

I was on yasmin last year and it totally destroyed my sex life, each month my sex drive decreased, sex was no longer fun or enjoyable, it became a chore. My sex drive returned to normal about a month after stopping yasmin.

Oh my ladies.. I usually have to make myself get in the mood... I am on paxil and it totally screwed with my sex drive. But when I got on ortho tri cyclen ....WOW... My husband was like whats wrong!! heheh Unfortunitly I had to stop taking them after a couple weeks due to severe s/e..

Loss of libido is mentioned as a side effect of the BCP...pretty ironic considering its primary purpose!! But I have never had a problem in that department.

Hey girls,
Yeah I have no interest either whatsoever and sometimes I just do it just to get it out of the way.(I know TMI) Sorry. I just stopped taking Yasmin so we will see what happens.
