Default Bed Room Painting Opinions Needed!!!

Okay guys I just painted our extra bed room Eddie Bauer Brown Cocoa on two walls and on the oposite walls a Eddie Bauer Blue to match the Eddie Bauer pack and play we bought when we were doing our IVF. Now that we are fostering to adopt I am using it for our hopefully soon to be placed 0-2 children. lol

Okay so the crib vibe is a nice brown white blue plaid overall brown look, very nice. I was wanting to do the same type of look with the walls, but now that they are painted this nice flat brown and blue I am completely stuck on what design to do....I mean honestly, I can't plaid the walls! Ha Ha Ha!

Any suggestions or photos of your kids rooms would be nice to my constant worrying.... !

Thanks

Hi Heather

Pictures ? might help us visualize what you have goin on there...

Maybe making a couple of quilts in plaid or finding a big picture or 2 would help cover up the blandness of the big brown walls...some shelves etc...

Good luck ! It sounds really pretty

sounds like the walls in our extra bedroom! the previous owners tied the blue and brown together with a pretty wall border at the top. the border is sun/moon/stars themed. closet doors and door/window trim are in high gloss bright white. this room feels more like a boy room to me, but we're not yet expecting so its our computer room and it doesnt matter!

If you are really creative, you could paint your own border at the top or even at chair rail height. There is a stencil for plaid. That could look really sharp! GL, I am sure whatever you decide will look great

What about painting large circles on the walls? I've seen the brown/blue done a lot with circles. You could do a couple shades of blue on the brown walls - and maybe keep the blue wall for art work?

Thanks Ladies! I know its such a trivial question but my mind is just 24/7 with the whole foster to adopt thing. lol

I DID totally think about circles, might still do that. I think the colors look good and have also considered blowing up some child photos of our parents in sepia for the brown walls.

My husband air brushes so I am thinking whatever.....

Thanks again.
