Post been on insulin shots for a week - terrible headache

I have been on insulin injections for a week now. I have also had a headache for days that won't go away! I am also nauseous & sweaty a lot. Is this from the insulin or the diabetes? Yuck!!!!!!! Thank God I am going to be having this baby within the next 7 weeks! Thanks for any help....Sasha

How well is your doctor monitoring your insulin. It really sounds like low blood sugar to me. I have to fax my readings in once a week and see my dr every other week and often my dose needs adjusting. I also have to check my levels 6 times a day. If your readings are low I would call your doctor and get your doses adjusted. You may be on too high of a dose.

Actually, it is possible that the insulin/diabetes could have nothing to do with your symptoms at all. It might be hormonal since you are nearing the end of your pregnancy. If your Sugars aren't too low and your blood pressure is alright, I;d guess that is what it is.

Anyway, I'm glad things coming to an end soon. You must be so excited to meet your little one! We have 12 weeks left to go!

Hi ladies & thanks for your replies. My sugar is not low. I also check my levels 6 times a day & see my Dr once a week. He just checked my blood pressure & it is normal. I told him about my headache too. He had no explination - blamed it on the pollen? Well, it is pretty bad, but I guess I will have to live with it. Can hardly wait till my baby girl arrives! Good luck...Sasha
