Did any of you ladies start buying things for your child before you began the adoption process? I am suppose to start taking the training class in September and get ready for the home study. I have been looking into buying a toddler bed etc... but I do not want to start buying these things and then things do not work out as planned.

We are in the same phase, as we have just submitted our paperwork and am now waiting on the MAPP class that starts in September. I am in the opionion of not buying anything or decorate the room until I know more about what age, sex, and how many.

Everyone is different, and maybe getting some unisex stuff, books, games and toys wouldnt be so bad.

I would just hate to see the stuff around and not know positively it will be used. Ya know??

I know exactly what you mean I was out with my mom yesterday and I saw these cute winne the pooh sheets reduced to 5.00 dollars!!! I want ed to buy them and then I thought what if I don't adopt a baby but an older child. then the money would be completely wasted. I have started buying stuff for a toddler boy already but what if I get a girl now. I think I really need to relax and just wait and see what happens!!!!!!
