Default Being redirected to another site

Hi Kat,

Just thought I would let you know that I keep being automatically redirected to this site;-

http://www.flirtingstudents.com/join.php

It started when I was looking in the Pregnant Cysters section and keeps doing it. Im not clicking anything, and it wasn't doing it before I was looking in that section. Also, its the same window, not a pop up.

If you have a virus protection program you should update it and run a scan. That might be a virus.

It could possibly be a Google problem if it's just that section.

This is happening to me too, although to different sites (I guess it depends on which forum I'm viewing). It only happens on this site for me as well.

You all will need to be more specific about what you're doing that causing that's triggering the problem.

More than likely, however, the issue is a virus or worm on your computer. I've made no changes to the site.

Another possibility is that someone has entered some rogue code into their sig.

OK, I'm getting this tonight on the Mommy Board. It is acting like a takeover ad. When I go to this subscribed thread, about once every few times I'm redirected immediatly to ad sites. I thought I was accidentally clicking on ads to the right as I was scrolling, but that time I'm sure I didn't. It took me to www.addresses.com.

Another Vaccination question.

It's not a virus on my computer. I have AVG and Windows Defender, they are both up to date, running normally and found no problems on my computer.

That won't keep worms from getting in. I know because I just dealt with the problem on my end a few weeks ago, and finally gave up using IE because of worm problems.

Have you cleared your cache?

DH said that AVG when used on Vista keeps worms out. The only thing in my Temp. Internet Files are cookies (not tracking cookies) for trusted sites I have visited for years.

DH said Vista itself is anti-worm in the way it's built. That might be the only good thing about Vista, but he said just this week it blocked worms from different sites he has to visit. That was on his work computer which also has AVG and Vista.

Sounds like he's smart...so maybe he can diagnose the problem you're having. It's not coming directly from SC, or it would be affecting everyone.

DH said it's not something on our computer, so it must be your site. He has his Masters of Science in Software Development and Management from one of the best schools in the nation, so if he says it's not our computer, he's very likely right. He said if it was a worm on our computer it would not just be doing this on SC, but on other sites as well.

Maybe it is affecting more people who just think it's just a hassle like I did at first. Most people think if a site acts weird it must be their fault. DH is working from the same computer and he said it's not happening on any site he goes to, and it is not happening on any other site I visit, just SC.

I'm glad I saw this post! I've been getting the same thing and here I was thinking it was because we installed a new modem. I too have been getting redirected to addresses.com and http://hfninsurance.com/ at random. I have been able to hit the back button on my browser to get back to the page I was viewing.
