The agency we are using does adoptions from Belarus. We have been thrilled with this agency -- International Assistance Group -- they are really top-notch. They only accept 100 families per year to ensure that they can make the best matches possible. Their director travels 4 times per year to pick out the referrals for their clients -- she holds each child that she will be giving out as a referral and we like that aspect.
The only drawback (for some) is that you must travel to Pittsburgh for an all day interview before being accepted by the agency. We actually liked this aspect as it gave us a chance to meet with the director face to face and we came away from the interview feeling very positive about our choice of agencies.
They also work in St. Petersburg and the Moscow region. I think that Belarus is a relatively new program for most agencies.
