hi there! just joined today...was feeling a little sorry for myself so decided to surf the net for wat i don't know but the path led me here!....
ok in a big nutshell, i was diagonosed with PCOS about two years ago. I had always had irregular periods maybe 3 year...so at 18 i was shocked to find out i was 5months pregnant. I then had aggressive mood swings when i started taking the Pill...so i switched to Depo injections which then made me burst in tears at any unwanted moment also i was having a period three weeks out of every month...Aaargh!!
i decided to have a non hormonal coil fitted..and cracked on with my next problem that i had a yeti staring back at me when i looked in the mirror!...for this i was given Dianete but after a year of no hair reduction and still suffering fom PMT 365 days of the year i went for an ultrasound which confirmed PCOS. I then had to stop the dianete and was given 1500mg Metformin and some very drastic diet sheets. About a year later i was told to increase the Metformin to 2550mg to try and tackle the hair.
Where i'm at now? Still hairier than my father...suffering from bloatiness, diarreoh, constant fatigue... and the mother of all depression!

Welcome to the group! I am sorry you have to be hear, but you have come to the right place. I dont' have tons of advice except that an antidepressant may help w/your mood swings. I got on Lexapro Friday and I see quite the difference already. Sorry I am not much help, but wanted to make you feel welcomed!
you made me giggle - talking about a yeti staring at you in the mirror. i had to read that twice! i dig your sense of humor.
but jokes aside, you are not alone. there are a bunch of beautiful ladies here with similar problems. feel free to vent. search around for tips & pointers for dealing with the yeti or whatever else is on your mind. feel free to email me if ya want to chat.
