Default the best diet?

hey i am new to this hole PCOS and TTC but my Dr. has suggessted going on a diet my question is does anyone know of the best diet to follow that will be easy and that i will have the best results with?

welcome to sc i personally found that not eating wheat/dairy helped me loose weight . If you have a look at the diet and exercise section, there are different diets there that different pcos girls have used.

I've had success with lowering carb intake and eating leaner meats. Although, all diets are hard for me to stick to!

I'm very new to all of this and am still reading lots of old posts so I'm not sure if this has been covered somewhere else - I was just diagnosed on Monday...so weird.
I wonder if my OB/GYN isn't PCOS herself because of some things she kinda mentioned but, she wrote down the title of the book "The Insulin Resistance Diet" and told me to read it. I just ordered it at Amazon since I couldn't find it at the library. I'm only on the edge of being pre-diabetic but she also recommended a nutritionist about diabetic nutrition.
Basically, she told me carbs are my new enemy and I need to follow the book and "carb combine" when I eat carbs to lose weight. I'll post more as I find out more as well as any success/failures.

Veri -thanks so much for the info. I have "The Insulin Resistance Diet" book but it is too hard for me b/c you have to know how to link and balance your carbs and protein. I have now ordered the "PCOS Diet" book and also ordered the "The PCOS Diet Cookbook". I will you know how it works.

I'm new to the boards but not to PCOS. Limiting your carbs should REALLY help!
