Default The best multivitamin for hair loss with pcos!!!!

I posted a while a back about a mutivitamin called SuperMom OR NOW Special Two. They come in tablet (2 a day) and capsule (4 a day) form and a brand name is Beeyoutiful SuperMom, but the exact same product can be purchased as NOW brand Special Two multivitamin for much cheaper.

I have lots of hair growing back, I have been on this vitamin pretty much every single day scince February! WOW, tons and tons of tiny hairs growing back.

If you have any problems with hair loss or thinning hair, Try this, and give it about 4 months, you'll see lots of hair grow back it it. It works!

On the SuperMom website (Beeyoutiful) it states the following....

"One 16-year-old girl mystified her doctor because her long, thick blond hair was falling out in handfuls. Medical tests failed to show any obvious problems, so the doctor had no solution to recommend. After trying SuperMom for a few weeks, though, hundreds of tiny hairs started to re-grow, and now—a faithful consumer of SuperMom—she again has a headful of thick hair."

It says a few weeks, but I would give it a month or two--dont give up on it too soon. Vitamins take time to build up in your body

It is used as a Prenatal vitamin during pregnancy, so it is safe for pregnant and TTC women too.

SuperMom(Special two) is used as a prenatal by alot of women. You dont need an extra prenatal on the side.

Thank you Herbsgirl - I don't have hair loss on my head, but I may take that just to help keep it that way - can I get it at the natural store or Vit place or do I have to order it?? Are you taking that right now and the DCI??

You should be able to get it at vitamin stores that carry NOW brand products, or they could order it for you. I think it is much chepaer if you order it online.....I recomend http://www.iherb.com/, they dont charge much for shipping if you order a little bit. Or http://www.luckyvitamin.com/ they charge more for shipping, but the vitamins are cheaper.

Yes, I am taking DCI and NOW special two multi.

Ooo I just ordered some! I have to take a multi anyway, so there's no harm in trying this one! Is it weird that I always get excited when ordering new vitamins?

I bought the NOW supplement at iherb. If anyone here orders any from there, you can get $5 off your order with the coupon code ODE005

Yes, that definitely sounds like an exciting multivitamin I was hoping someone might know if you can order it from the UK as well.. I'm in the Netherlands and shipping from the UK should be cheaper than from the US. From the beeyoutiful website they charge $30.75 for shipping. I already did a Google search for supermom beeyoutiful UK, but I can't find anything. I know all the women who posted here are from the US so it's unlikely you would know either. But maybe, you know, some UK cyster might come across this, or, well, I don't know. LOL.

July, you can order the exact same SuperMom vitamins, they are just under a different label. the ingredients are exactly the same. It is called NOW Special Two. You can order it from iherb.com, they will ship it to the UK for cheaper than 30.00 I think, check into it.

http://www.iherb.com/Now-Foods-Speci...Vcaps/787?at=0

they now have 4.00 flat shipping fee for international orders that is excellent price

Herbsgirl -

So is this still helping your hair loss?

I'd swallow a gallon of mud at this point if it would stop my shedding!

Kimm- I seem to lose hair whenever I go under significant hormone changes and other times. Right now I am losing wieght, so I think I am going through hormone changes. The good news is that I am losing some hair, but my hair is growing back so thick, that the vitamin seems to be minimizing the bad effects so the hair loss is kept under control? Its amazing how many tiny hairs that are growing back!

Wow, this sounds great! I have been looking for a multi-vitamin and this one is definitely worth a try. My mom swears by NOW products and has been trying to get me to buy some for awhile now. I'll do anything at this point...my hair has been falling out like crazy!

Hehe! I've found a shop nearby that sells NOW special two (90 tabs, take 2 a day) for 25 Euro (I'm mostly happy that I've found a shop in town that carries them, I don't think the price is a particular bargain)

I've also read elsewhere on this forum that someone claimed NOW Eve is also a good multivitamin. Herbsgirl, what would you say? I compared ingredients and Eve doesn't contain Chlorella, Barley or Alfalfa and I think those are particularly good for hair(re)growth, right?

The shop closes in 10 mins, so I'm going to have to take a look on monday (shop is closed on Sunday) I am so excited!

I dont like the EVe because it has soy Isoflavones in them. Soy isoflavones might be ok a few days per month to induce ovulation, but not every single day in a multi, I dont think it would have a good effect on the hormones.

Oh, one more question: I know that the daily value percentages of vitamins are sort of guidelines and that (at least in The Netherlands) 100% is often a minimum instead of a maximum, but I know that a too high % of vitamines E & A can have serious effects on your health. Of other vitamins I don't know exactly what the consequences would be. So I'm a bit sceptical when it comes to amounts that are like the 1000% or even higher of an advised daily amount. Do you think it's wise to not take two tablets a day every day? Maybe I could do 2 tablets on day A, 1 on B, 2 on C, 1 on D etc..? I'd really apreciate your opinion on this matter since you obviously know your way around natural supplements (in my honest opinion). Thank you in advance!
