You are still in the running! Many tests don't give BFPs until 13 or 14 DPO. It all depends on your body and how quickly the hcg enters your bloodstream/urine. Beta and hcg are the same thing...the blood tests and urine tests are both looking for hcg beta. It shows positive on a blood test a little sooner than a urine test. Also, although most HPTs publish their sensitivity to be 25 or more, it is possible to have a lower hcg level and still have a + HPT, due to a sensitivity lower than what is published.
