I was wondering if anyone has had their HCG numbers decrease and then go back up?
I went to the dr on weds and again today and my levels decreased slightly. I'm only 4 weeks so I'm holding out hope that this doesn't mean an inevitable m/c. But I'm also a realist and know that I will most likely m/c soon.

I can't say I have experienced it, but I am sure someone, somewhere out there has. What were your numbers? Did the Dr sound concerned? Vanishing twin is one possiblity, however, you also know the other *hugs*.
Are you having more bloodwork, or is the Dr just going to wait and do an u/s?
Try not to worry too much, easier said than done I know......
My numbers were relatively low to begin with. 53 on Monday 46 on Wednesday so it doesn't look good. The dr. wants to retest on Sunday but we will be out of town for a funeral so I can't get tested again until Tuesday. She was very honest with me and said the numbers didn't look good and that I need to be cautious because it could be a ectopic pregnancy.
I so wish we didn't have to leave town this weekend. But it was my uncle and I need to show my respects.

I am sorry you are having to deal with the loss of your Uncle as well as the worry about your pg. Hang in there and please update when you have your next blood test.

If you were pregnant with twins and lost one, it would be possible. but, I had the same thing happen with my numbers and wound up having a very long m/c
