Thread: BETA too low,,, when do I ...

Ok, I know its not the favorite subject for us... but I need to know. Last Thursday my Beta was 14, only up one point from 36 hours prior. My doc said there was nothing she could do and just to let it (m/c) happen. I kept taking my 100mg prometrium so I wouldnt bleed over the weekend because we were out of town. But I still havent started bleeding. I really hate to take days off work, but if its like last time I will have to. My FRER said negative, so im sure the HCG is almost if not completely out of my system.
Any advice?

Also, my cervix have been soft and open up until last night, now they are medium and closed. Was it just the prometrium softening my cervix? I thought before you m/c your cervix would dilate... am I wrong?

I opted for vaginal pills that induced the miscarriage. I did not want a D&C and wanted to know when it was going to happen. I took the pills on Friday and the bleeding slowed down yesterday but is back heavier today. Did the doctor give you options? My Dr said I had three, wait for it to happen on its own, D&C and the pills. This was my first pregnancy and I was 8 weeks along with twins. Let me know if you have other questions.

My doc didnt say anything.. not even just wait to bleed!!! EEERRRR!!!! I stopped taking the prometrium on Saturday so Im going to give it a few more days. If its not started by friday Im going to call adn get a rx for pills. I do not want a D&C. I was only 5 weeks along so I should pass it on my own.

I had a really early m/c in July...I'm still waiting to start AF....Being as your HCG was so low, you might not really bleed at all from it. You might just have a delayed period....That's what my doctor told me....So you may not bleed any heavier than a "normal" AF but it might take a few days for your body to kick in again.

You should start bleeding in the next few days, but some early losses are simply reabsorbed, and the body gets ready to start another cycle. My five week loss involved light bleeding over a couple of weeks, though they all do their own thing. I'm sure that a doctor wouldn't recommend a d&c for this early. I just hope that something happens soon to put your mind at ease.

I'm so sorry!

I started bleeding last night, light but bright red. Today its heavy with clots... its so gross. Like its not painful enough I have to be grossed out too... come on... when do we get a break!
