Default Bfp...for Now At Least....

Hi all
Just a recap...I had a m/c in March, then I lost my twins in September at 20 weeks, waited 3 months to TTC, tried on my own for about 4 months (dont know why I even wasted my time when I know I dont ovulate like a "normal" woman), and then moved on to Clomid (it's how I got pregnant both times previously). So I've been having a lot of drama with me RE's office and trying to figure out if or when I ovulated on 50mg of Clomid. I'll spare you the details, but I spent a lot of money and they basically told me it didnt work. So then I take a progesterone blood test on day 23 just to make sure, and it showed that something may have happened and they somehow missed it. So I took a home pg. test the day before my period was due, and it was a faint positive. Another one that night - same. The day my period was due (Friday) I took 2 more - faint positives. So I called my RE, who faxed me a slip for bloodwork, which I took on Friday (even though my period was technically still due that day). So they called me today (dont know why on a Sunday) and they said it was positive at 672. They are testing again tomorrow to see if the levels are rising since Friday. I cant tell anyone yet but you ladies...just incase something happens. I dont want to have to tell a lot of people "nevermind". I wont tell my husbands family until I see a heartbeat at least. I'm in complete shock right now....cant believe it....dont know how 50mg worked when it never did before....not sure when it happened since the u/s showed no mature follicles. I think I feel a lot of "stuff" going on in there...like fluttering or something...maybe its all in my head. What if it's multiples again? What will I do? I feel like I'm going to go crazy until I can get an u/s and see how many sacs. I mean, I would want 2 babies again (or more), but I know the chances of me carrying them to a decent gestation is slim. Ugh. Anyway, however it happened, I PRAY it works out....PLEASE let it work out. And if it's not going to work out, please let it happen early and not in the 2nd trimester or later, because I literally dont think I could handle another late loss. I'm having a cerclage, so my chances are better. And we have decided to sell our house and buy my grandfathers old junky house (he died and my mom owns it currently) and my husband will fix it up and we can live there cheap so I can stay on bedrest and it wont matter if I lose my job or take a leave of absence or something...and if I have this baby then maybe I'll be able to be a SAHM. Ok, I'm getting way ahead of myself. For now, I just hope my levels continue to rise and everything starts forming ok.

Thanks for listening
Becky

I too hope they continue to rise. That beta sounds awefully high though...are you sure you're not further along than you think?

Ehh, my beta was high and tripling in 48 hours at first. So don't worry, I'm only having one, beta #'s really don't indicate how many you're having.
As for losing, if it is multiples, make sure you get either a cerclage if you had IC or progesterone shots if you had PTL. Now you know you need to be careful, so hopefully they can prevent any 2nd tri losses.

GL!

One day at a time, Becky.... deep breaths.
Many congratulations, and stick around... many of us have been there and can reassure you that it is possible to get a healthy baby after all.

Congrats on the BFP, Becky.

I hope the betas continue to rise and everything goes OK. Please take care of yourself. I am glad to hear you are having a cerclage.

OHHHHHHHHH BECKY!!!! CONGRATS!!

don't forget to talk to your doc asap about lovenox for the antiphospolipid thingy. If you have a clotting disorder, it will need to be addressed as soon as possible.

Happy happy happy and healthy 9 months!! This makes for a great day! Girl, take it easy...relax and take deep breaths!

I'm praying for you!

Thanks everyone. My levels today were 1975, which is normal and good. I'll have an u/s next week to check for # of sacs and placement of attachment. Then I'll have another u/s the week after that, to check for cardiac activity and viability. Then at 7 weeks I'll start seeing the MFM.
I plan on a cerclage (McDonald, I hope its good enough) at 12 weeks and 17-P shots at 16 weeks since I really dont know what happened for SURE which my girls. My re-testing of the anticardiolipin antibodies came back normal, so the doc thinks baby aspirin is enough and doesnt think I have a need for heparin. I sure pray he's right.

I'm praying for all you TTCers - YOU ARE NEXT!!!

Becky
