I have it too-I mean I would look excellent IF IF! i was pregnant. If i let it just hang-it has no folds and is sorta hard but flabby. If I suck it I tink its 2 tires also-like where my pants are! LOL I always have aline on my tummy from pants.

I hope when I get preg someday that Ill just fill out my tummy and stop suckin in. Maybe we wont get stretch marks-wouldnt that be great!

Thanks for making me feel less embaressed to admit this!

Default Appointment

Hi sisters,

I made an appointment with a plastic surgeon in Philadelphia, Pa on April 7, to discuss my options to get rid of my BIG STOMACH! I don't fix in any of my clothes nicely because of the way my stomach is shaped and I'm very self – conscience about it. Everyone can’t wait until summer starts but me I don’t want to come out of my cover up clothes. I worked hard to lose weight but now my legs and arms are so small that my STOMACH looks so huge now. URRGGG!

Trying to win the battle with PCOS check list:
- had my son in '99 with injectables
- lost weight
- normal cycles (every 32 days from 56 days apart)
- clear skin and full healthy hair
- coming soon…….flat stomach!

Love yall!
on a positive note, i went to lane bryant today to use my real-women dollars (i love those things!) and i tried on anything i wanted and liked how most of them looked on me! before my weight loss, i really couldn't fit into any of the tops because my boobs were too big and my belly stuck out. out of 8-10 blouses, only 1 or 2 would actually look okay on me. today i tried on blouses and i was happy with what i saw in the mirror. i'm still wearing the same size i usually get, but they actually fit me. this is such an accomplishment for me. i only got 1 pair of bottoms and they're 2 sizes smaller than what i used to get. i had no problem spending my real women dollars today and i can't wait to wear the clothes to work.
That is awesome!!! How much have you lost? I have no motivation, but I need to lose about 100lbs to be at my ideal weight of 155 for my height I am 5'7

neptina- i bet your excited about your consultation. you've worked so hard to get where you are. your before and after photos will be amazing!

livid- i need to lose a total of 150 lbs to get at my idea weight. i'm really not looking at that right now because it's such a long way to go. i'm just focusing on 50lb increments. i've lost 34lbs so far so i need to lose 16lbs to get at my first goal. my dr said that if i don't want PCOS to have an effect on me i'd need to get to 180. that's some pretty major weight loss but i believe i can get there without WLS or diet pills.

I'm new to the board and I was wondering if anyone knows why a pcoser's stomach can have the "2 stacked tires" appearance? I definitely have this, but I always wonder why it looks that way. Is it due to wearing pants with waists? I am just curious as to the physiology behind it.

i've also wondered if the tire effect was due to wearing pants meant for women who actually have waistlines.

Yep, me too i have the "double belly" as well i look at it and think eww yuck then i think of my fiance and i think you poor poor man having to look at me every day with my 2 tires around my middle, im sorry to say ladies when your pregnant it looks no different it just pokes out a lot further, i was hoping that pregnancy would make it kinda fill out a bit and get rid of the pinch in the middle where my belly button is but alas it didnt. i dont have fibroids or any other condition that makes it big but thankfully im in proportion with my breast size so it dosnt look too odd lol.
Have a great day guys

I carry my weight like a spare tire around my middle. I weigh 166 pounds, but I feel like a roley poley with my stomach. It's especially bloated right now after taking the clomid.

I started out at 350. I definitely need a tummy tuck but am waiting until after I have a baby to get it done. A friend of mine had a tummy tuck not expecting to have a kid and it was rough on her because her tummy was tucked pretty tight. Now her tummy is stretched out again.

Only recently diagnosed with PCOS, however ive known ive had it for ages just had to fight to be diagnosed!

I was wondering if anyones stomach was as bad as mine, i have a fairly healthy diet, work out but for the past few years now especially my stomach has looked like a 9 monthes pregnent lady, my sis is actually 6 monthes and mines bigger than hers!

I have to wear massive knickers to suck it in! Its crazyily big.

Im regular(toilet wise) so its not that, and i take water balance tablets.

Is this just the PCOS? or not?
Yes, I do, but my boobs are still bigger than my belly. I used to always say for years, 'if I dont love my belly who will?'. So what I have found is that if you are on Metformin, you MUST stay off carbs otherwise you wont see it come off there. Maybe eat 40 grams of carbs per day AND eat 1200 calories ONLY. All you can eat protien is not the answer. My friend who dropped 50lbs eats 1200 cals per day and absolutlety NO carbs, not even tomatoes.

One thing I noticed last year whenI dropped alot of weight is I did Ashtanga Yoga 4 times per week. Yes, its hard and vigorous and you sweat like a pig n the first 5 minutes but after 90 minutes 4 times per week belly fat just melts, same for fat on the back waste. In Ashtanga, you have to suck your belly in the entire time while doing flow yoga so when you practice sucking it in, it WILL start to go in and with yoga which is anaerobic, its much better for meliting the middle than cardio. Tried and true.
