So, last night I was wearing sandals and at a friends house when I noticed lots of nasty hair sprouting from my big toes. how embarrasing! It's not really dark, but pretty thick and long, it just kind of sticks straight up! Plucking was too painful, but I did shave. Does anyone else get this? Will it ever go away? Thanks!
I have it too. It's so ugly. I shave it when I shave my legs. If it makes you feel better Tyra Banks was talking about shaving hers too. Even super models get toe hair!

I have hair on my toes and feet...one of my cousins pointed it out to me when I was younger (maybe around 13) and I've been shaving them since. It's not too bad though...my sister has it too, and does not have PCOS. Maybe it's our mother's Italian blood running through our genes...

I wax my toes they stay smoother longer nad don't leave the black remnants of the roots. I have had this for as long as i can remember, my fiance said he saw it was a symptom of PCOS when he was reading about PCOS after i was diagnosed. I have never seen this but he claims it.

Strange though it may sound I have actually grown quite attached to my big toe hair - for some reason it makes me laugh (the rest of my excess hair makes me want to cry...got to find something good in the situation ) I do shave it off from time to time though, as I know that other people are not quite so impressed by it!! One time when I was having my legs waxed the beautician did my toes as well - she sprung it upon me as a surprise - it hurt so much! I don't usually find waxing painful, not even bikini waxing, so I don't know why my toes should be so sensitive, but never again for me! Like one of you said, my sister also has hairy toes but the rest of her is silky smooth (lucky girl) so I don't know whether it is PCOS-related or just bad luck.
Everyone I know has hair on thier big toe. I think it is just a fact of life. Thankfully mine is blonde and you can't see it unless you get up close. But I shave it everytime I shave my legs.

I have a few hairs on the big toes, too and just make it a routine to shave it whenever I shave my legs. I call them my "Frodo Toes!" Maybe it's not a sign of PCOS after all; maybe it's a sign that we are really Hobbits!
I have hair on ALL of my toes. Even the little one! The little one has just one hair growing out of it. Sometimes I forget to shave it and it becomes this mondo hair
And of course I have hair on my feet
I was so excited to find out my roommate had toe-hair too, figured it was fairly normal. My mother has it, too.

Ha ha
I could have said exactly the same myself
hobbit feet rock
I normally leave it in the winter cause no one is going to see it with snow up to my knees and in the summer I numb it with an ice cube and pluck away. Over the years it has not gotten better but worse I now get the nasty hairs on my baby toes as well.
A few years ago I opted to get a flower tattooed on my toe to help aid in hiding the hair but not only did it hurt worse than plucking ever could but the petals have slowly begun to wear off and since the pain was so excruciating the first time around I can't be bothered to get it touched up.
