I have a doctor's appointment on Monday the 7th, with a new doc and I am terrified!!!

They said on the phone that if I have been bleeding since August, that there will be a good possibility that they will have to do a biopsy. A Biopsy?!! Of what ?!! Is this going to hurt? Are they going to put me out? Or at least something for pain? Am I going to be able to function at work afterward??

I am TERRIFIED!

Somebody help me......I've never been more afraid than I am right now.

PCOS Diagnosed in Feb 2005 after 20 yrs of symptoms.
Endometrial Cancer stage 1A.
Metformin ER 500mg
Provera 20mg - 18 day treatment til Surgery
Have chosen not to take Spiro til after surgery
Uterine Biopsy done June 15th-results are in
Hysterectomy in August. Everything is going to be ok.

Seems to me they may do either a uterine or cervical biopsy. My mom had a cervical one and just felt like a teeny pinch. I am having a uterine biopsy and I was told that it just cramps a bit my that I can have pain meds if I want. I would ask for pain meds that way you won't have to be so nervous! Good Luck!

The doc said that he wanted to do an internal ultrasound and a GTT test, along with hormone levels and such. I am relieved that they won't automatically be popping me into having a biopsy.
He did say though it would depend on what he found....so it still may happen.
