I'm thinking of taking Biotin for my hair loss. I'm currently on Diane 35, Spiro 100mg and Centrum (multivitamin). I'm wondering if it's ok to take biotin on top of what I'm taking now. Sorry I don't have access to an english speaking doctor. I'm in Japan. Also, any suggestions of a brand I should go for?
Yes, it's perfectly OK to take biotin in addition to the meds you are working with. Biotin is a dietary supplement, not a prescribed medicine.
I can't advise about a brand. Where are you buying your Centrum? Perhaps you could get advice there about what brands of biotin the store caries?

I take Hair, Skin & Nails formula from GNC. Two big horse pills a day = 2500 mg of biotin. At the recommendation of my hairdresser.
I am losing a ton of hair bc I am postpartum, but my hair is still better off than it was before I was pg (ie, thin & nasty). I think its helping.
HTH!
