Default Bipolar question

Do any of you Bipolar girls find that your meds do not work during your period (or on the void pills of BC) ?? I'm finally on bipolar meds but still 'going crazy' on my period. It seems like my meds are worthless then. Does this seem common?

Lamictal levels can be affected by BCP--I wonder if your medication levels are actually changing when you go onto the placebo week of the pills?

I find that I get really depressed before my period after feeling pretty level the rest of the month (finally)...

There are some drugs that affected birth control pills, I know that topamax is one and like Bethann said, lamictal as well.. mostly meds that are used as anti-epileptic agents

hmm...well I am on Lamictal but I would think that if it increases during that time, more would be better- right? This can all be so confusing.
