I just started Yasmin today & was wondering if birth control's are safe to take if you have low blood pressure..

yasmin contains something similiar to spironolactone, which is a medication that is used to treat HIGH blood pressure (so it lowers your blood pressure). spironolactone is also used as an anti-androgen. there is a very small amount in yasmin, so it may not have much of an effect on your blood pressure, but i would have your doctor check it to make sure.
