Points: 664.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 664.00 | Birth Control Pills Question???........When I was diagnosed with PCOS they put me on Glucophage and Ovcon 35 I took it for a while then stopped (studpid me) because I believed I didn't have PCOS. Well I went back to the doctor recently and was basically chewed out because I hadn't been taking the medicine and put me back on Ovcon 35 and now Met. I took both for the first month and did great got my period back and slowly was getting myself in the groove of taking the met twice a day. Well I wanted to see if I just took the Met if I would have a period and I did this month without taking the birthcontrol for a month. Does anyone else just take the Met and do ok on having their monthly or is better if I stick to taking the birthcontrol?

Without BCPs, Met regulates your OWN hormones. That said, it may take longer for your body to regulate itself with just Met.
BCPs made my symptoms so much worse that I'll never go on them again.

Points: 664.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 664.00 | Well I don't have that many symptoms other than the weight gain and irregular periods. I don't have the sharp pelvic pains anymore and no acne, hair or anything else. But I noticed last month that I had cramps and was always hungry when I was on the BC's.

When I went on Met ER the first month I got a period on my own and have had one ever since at the same time, now for almost 2 years. I link the regular periods to the Met as that is the only change I made. Jean
