Im new to BCP and i was on Marvelon for a while but it made me retain water, so they placed me on tricylen lo. And i have started my period 2 days early before i ended the pack. plus i am getting more headaches, when you switch BCP does this tend to happen? I am wondering if i should switch back? or maybe my body needs time to adjust to the new pill? I hope i dont get it again before i finish the pack next month.

has anyone experienced this?

I wouldn't be worried about starting early unless it happened several times (it does take your body time to get adjusted to new bcps). The headaches, however, would bother me enough to call the doctor and complain. Maybe put a call into your doc and see if that's a common side effect that will go away or if you're reacting badly to the med. If you can't get ahold of your doc easily, and easier solution would be to call your pharmacist to see if that's a common side effect. You can base your plan of action on what she says. I haven't gotten headaches with my bcps but I'm on different ones than you and anyways everyone reacts differently to them. HTH
