Default Bit the bullet and took my first met...

I took my first Met pill at 6:30 with dinner tonight. So far, I've got some stomach upset. I'm guessing the worst will hit in the middle of the night....

I think the hardest part was getting myself to actually take that first step and take the first pill.

I took my first pill yesterday. 250mg- no side effects. Doc said to take 250mgs for a few days and then up to 500mg to avoid side effects. I just took 500mg today (around 7:30). No side effects yet. I do have a headache, but could be allergies. Good luck!

Congrats on taking your first pill too. Here's to hoping it works for both of us!

The first two weeks were the worst part for me. I went up to 1500mg yesterday and I haven't noticed a difference. You did the right thing by starting. I have a quote on my desk at work that says, "DO IT NOW--You become successful the moment you start moving toward a worthwhile goal."

That's suprising, Mya. Most dr's feel 1500mg is the minimum effective dosage. That's what I've been reading also in the reports posted on this site.

Smile Way to Go!

:::waving::: I am new to PCOS, too. Well, new to *knowing* I have it, anyway!
I just started taking MET last Monday, and will up to 1000 mg tmw... on the way to 1500mg. A bit of an upset stomach, but not horrible.

I am just thankful my DH and I have found a doctor who knows what PCOS is!
