Angry Blackheads

Does anyone know how to get rid of blackheads? I have tons on my nose, cheeks, and chin.

Nothing ever seems to work. I've tried cleansing, pore strips, exfoliating, and maks. Do any of you know of anything that may help???

If you find anything, let me know! Have you thought of trying pore minimizing treatments? If you've got large pores, that may help at least make them less noticable... a friend of mine used to do that.

I have been using retin a and it has done wonders for the blackheads.big pore on and alongside my nose. oddly didn't do as much for the ones on my chin. and it ain't doing a thing for the break outs elsewhere on my face... grrrrr! aside from the blackheads I never had a problem with acne until this fall.

I think before the retin a I tried just about every over the counter product that claimed to zap blackheads, except for the really expensive cosmetic counter stuff. masks, biore strips, lotions, potions, liquids, soaps... i was a complete product whore. Shortness of money is all that's keeping me reformed in that area...

Post try plexion or....

Hi,
Since being prescribed Plexion (sulfur-based) cleanser a lot of my acne & blackheads/ whiteheads have disappeared. I also had some success with OTC exfoliators like Paula's Choice acids (I think I used the 1% BHA?) a few times per week. It sounds harsh, and it does make your skin slightly pink for a few minutes, but it worked pretty good. I've tried Retin-A, Differin, oral antibiotics, you name it, and they did nothing but dry my skin out and give me embarassing flakes (couldn't moisturize or zits came in hordes).
