I think bleaching is fine for the face. I guess it is ok for the body, but that can be difficult to maintain. For larger areas that like, I would suggest leaving it alone, or waxing every so often. However for a 'quick fix' I can't see an issue with it.

I'd be very careful about bleaching the upper lip -- when you look in the mirror you think, correctly, it's hardly visible, but when someone sees you against the light your moustache will be glowing brightly in the light -- almost like it's illuminated. So if you want to hide your moustache, it's counter-productive. Much the same applies to hair on the chin. Sideburns don't seem to suffer to the same extent, so it may be a workable idea for them. Personally, I prefer to shave.

I bleach my upper lip. I've also bleached my entire stomach and lower back. I've done my upper arms too. It's hard to keep up with all of that. I usually do the stomach, arms, back in the summer. I leave it alone in the winter. This summer i'm gonna prolly shave some parts and bleach some.

Shy One, can I suggest if it is between shaving and bleaching for you, to stick with bleaching? Honestly, I feel shaving was the biggest mistake I ever made with my face and body. If you don't mind waxing, give that a try. Otherwise either leave it alone like you do in the winter or bleach. Just some advice I wish someone had given me once upon a time.

bleaching and plucking all the way for me. i dont do it too often though.... i once saw a pic of me at uni and in the uv light of the night club my sides of my face were glowing! oooops! i dont do it so oten any more and also dont leave it on for long, coz like one of the previous posts stated, they can show up even more in the light. so perhaps dont leave the bleach on so long. i use the boots own stuf and my friend uses 'jolen' i think its called. boots is cheaper and fine though :o)

also maybe try vaniqa which i got from my doc and seems to deffo stunt the growth x

Diamond, Why is it the worst mistake you've made? Everyone has mixed opinions on shaving. I tried shaving a small patch on the lower back and a small patch on my stomach and they grew back the same. I wouldn't think that shaving actually makes hair darker and thicker... but who really knows. I also always hear not to pluck or wax cause you're better off if you wanna get laser some day. Bleaching is just really hard cause hairs fall out and grow back in dark again constantly. You have to bleach and alot... and that's a lot of areas to bleach.
