I had my d&c on April 21st. I bled and spotted until April 29th. It finally quit and DH and I bd'ed on Saturday. I had a little bit of spotting right afterwards that went away but then the bleeding came back yesterday afternoon. Is this normal? My hCG was 189 on Thursday and I get it drawn again on Wednesday. Will I bleed/spot until my hCG returns to 0?

My dr said that we couldn't bd until my f/u appt...3 weeks. I don't think you were supposed to bd, that's what could have caused the bleeding. You will mostlikely bleed/spot until your hCG hits 0.

Yes, it's normal to bleed on & off for weeks after. My dh & I waited 48 hours after my last spotting before bding to be sure that it was all done. Be sure & tell your doc that you bd'd.

Thanks. I had my f/u appointment at one week. The RE never specifically said when we could start bd'ing again and on the discharge papers it said to wait until after f/u with RE. I've read where many people were given the okay after the bleeding stopped. I just called the RE and he said to go ahead any time we were ready. I told them what happened and they said it was okay and probably because the hCG wasn't totally out of my system. They told me to give it a couple of days and if it doesn't stop to call them back.
