Bleeding mid cycle with clomid

I started 50mg clomid on Dec. 5th, and took it for 5 days. I woke up this morning with a pain in my back. I thought maybe I slept wrong but I went to the bathroom and saw bright red spotting. The back pain and spotting lasted most of the day going back and forth from reddish to brownish and also was a little nausaus. I called my OBGYN, and he seems to think I might be ovulating. He says the spotting takes place during ovulation with clomid. Has anyone experienced these side effects with clomid?

I'm on my 6th cycle of clomid (150 mg) and have never noticed any bleeding during O..in fact I don't even have any pain! BUT I have heard of other women who have extreme pain during O and spotting. I hope someone else can be of more help...in the meantime try not to worry and GOOD LUCK for this cycle!!
