Exclamation Bleeding pretty much all the time these days....

Ok so once in awhile I would have very light spotting.... but it was never anything to worry about. Now I am dating someone and am sexually active regularly and have just started taking Ortho tricyclen Lo. I'm 4 weeks into the bcp's and basically since I started I've been bleeding everyday. Some days its just like dried blood discharge.... but this past week it's been enough to wear a pad. And I don't even start my period until next week. It's frustrating because i don't want to wear a pad everyday, and also for my sex life because I never know what's going on down there.... sorry TMI.

Does anyone else have this problem... i know spotting in between periods is normal when you start bcp but EVERYDAY???

Any advice? I don't want to stop the bcp because I want to give them a chance... but this seems to be getting worse over time not better.....

I know what you mean, its seems to be all or nothing with pcos, its actually starting to annoy me. And you read loads on not getting your period, but what if its just always there, then what?!?

I had close to the same problem...but I bled heavy for 31 days at one point! Horrible! The dr said that the bc pills were not strong enough and I was having break-through bleeding. They prescribed something stronger and it fixed it.
Good luck...I know it's a pain!!

funny because I have the same problem and I have started the pill around two weeks ago and its the same problem for me. I spoke with my doc and he says that it is normal t spot everyday and it may take two complete cycles before it subsides! I hate what I am going through but I will say this...I HATED NOT GETTING IT AT ALL....so now its like its a bessing and a curse.... what we have to go through as women...jeez

So were you a non stop bleeder before? I bleed alllll the time (6 months straight once). If you bleed non stop off of birth control pills - you should get that checked (usually a D&C). If it is just on the pills - change pills. Bleeding non stop is noooo fun. I'd be aggressive and call & ask to switch. I've had 3 bcp's w/in 4 mos trying to stop bleeding in the past. I've also had bcp + progesterone as a way to stop the bleeding. GL
