Default Bleeding and scared...

Ok, so my biggest problem w/PCOS is that I'll bleed forever... like 3 months... but everything seemed to be going fine for the past year and a half. AF came every month for one week right on schedule. Then came December.... Normal AF stopped on 12/19. Started spotting on 12/26 and spotted for a week, went into fullfledged bleeding and hasn't stopped!!! OB put me on met and prometrium 2 weeks ago (week 3 of the bleeding). Took prometrium for a couple days with NOTHING changed. Called dr, she gave me a prog cream vaginal insert prescription. Took that for two days, AF got HEAVIER!!! (and darker) Kept taking it and upped the dosage (a couple a day) and it seems to lighten the flow but it's still coming. I have another appt w/OB tomorrow, but what else can be done?? Where is blood coming from?? I could have only had a couple weeks worth of lining to shed. Anyone have any insight??

I don;t have much advice, but take iron, when you bleed that much you deplete your body of some much needed Fe.

When the bleeding didn't stop, I started a multi-vitamin w/100% iron just for that. Appt this afternoon, don't know what else is left to do...
PS Amink, I'm proud to be a conservative too!

BCPs are the only thing I can use. From AF #1 I had one just about every other week for a full 8-10 days each. Had the occasional missed one as well about every 6 months or so. Got on the pill at 18 and started having regular periods. Can only use one or two pills, the others will cause AF indefinately. If I go off the pill, I go from having none to constant and then back to none...back and forth, back and forth. The weird thing is that I am not a bleeder. Just to get a finger prick takes 5 fingers to get enough blood. I can't even donate b/c it takes almost two hours to get a pint. After I took met for a few weeks back in august, even on my pills I keep getting an extra period the week before it should be.

I am finding myself in the same situation now. I have NEVER been the type to get AF on my own. I've had one since I had my son 13 months ago, but almost 3 weeks ago AF came and she is STILL here. I am making an appt. today. I am thinking of bcp since I am not ready to start ttc again. Any certain brand/type of bcp should I ask for? I certainly don't want the kind that doesn't fix this problem.
