We had a lovely public ritual on Saturday night that 190 attended. We had a ritual within a ritual with my friend Arnwen being made a Crone. I was asked by her to be one of several ladies whose spirtual paths have intertwined with hers to be part of this ritual.
Hope all have a Blessed Samhain.
Cindy
PS my bday is the day before I'm 22 again LOL.

Blessed Samhain! I just love this time of year so much. I have baked pumpkin bread, candied the apples, and gotten my son's costume. The leaves are falling like rain, in the colors of fire. It is neither too cold nor too hot, it's perfect. Everyone have a wonderful time! ~Candi

Thanks for the Samhain Blessings... just wanted to give one out in return!
I am not doing much of anything to celebrate.... I am in high sadness because I am too broke to attend the big Witches' Ball that is held here in Columbus every year (it is run by AJ Drew, author of Wicca for Men). Maybe next year!!

I loved getting gummy bears! Though chocolate candy bars were always a major bonus, sometimes the neighbor kids would hit a house several times when chocolate was handed out, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. ~Candi

BTW did everybody notice that today (oct 30) is Cindy's B-Day?
AnyWhos I plan on celebrating Samhain with my coven sisters on Thursday. We will have ritual, a feast, and then over to the Moon Lodge for a sleepover. It is the one sabbat that we actually celebrate on the day
Today I am preparing to carve my "Jackie" O'Lantren
As for the candy question I LOVED it ALL! (except for good~n~plentys that was the house one hoped to avoid)
Trick or Treat
and
Blessed Samhain to All

This has always been my favorite time of year, long before I realized I was pagan!
My fav candies when I was a child at Hallowe'en were Mounds and Almond Joy. But we rarely got those!

I know I said a Blessed Samhain to all of you already but I had to say it again on the most sacred of our holidays. May the Lord and Lady bless you fully tonight and may you feel the love of those who have passed. Love and Light. . .Ellyn

Thanks all for the Bday Greetings and Samhain Blessings. Kat, Thanks for the PM. It was nice. Samhain has always been a special holiday for me since my bday is the day before and I was born 2 months premature, So I must have known my path even back then LOL.
Kat, it sounds like you will be spending a wonderful Samhain night.
I don't remember what my favorite candy was as a youngster, but today I have this thing for tootsie rolls.
Candi, The pumpkin bread sounds delicious. I love pumpkin anything but make just the custard minus the crust all the time. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters in VT make a delicious Pumpkin Spice Coffee that with lots of 1/2 and 1/2 in it tastes like pie with cream.
To all the other pagan Cysters, thanks for being part of this community.
Bright Blessings all.
Cindy
