Hi,
The book of Deuteronomy chapter 28 verse 5 has been echoing within my spirit for weeks. Does anybody have a link to an online sermon or commentary for this chapter, specifically this scripture? I'm trying to find a more in-depth study of the biblical meaning of what it means by thy basket and thy store.
Deuteronomy 28:5 (KJV)
Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

I am still looking up the specific verse you mentioned, but I did find this in my Halley's Bible Handbook... I'll continue my search, but perhaps this will be of use to you...

Chapter 28 is the "curses and blessings" section of the treaty between God and Israel. Here the consequences of both obedience and disobedience to the "stipulations" of the covenant are presented. This chapter is the foundation for the message of the prophets who would again and again remind Israel of their obligations to God (which as a nation they had willingly accepted) and the consequences of their disobedience. From the chapter flow both of the prophecies of impending doom that permeate most of the prophetic writings, as well as the promise of restoration: if God's people turn back to Him, God will honor His covenant and bless them.
