I just had an HSG test done earlier this month and I found out I not only have PCOS ( since 15 yrs old ) but now they are telling me my tubes are blocked . Has anyone on here have that problem , and what are you doing or what is your doc doing to correct the problem ?

Hi hon, I'm really sorry about your hsg results ((hugs)). I too got some unfortunate news about my hsg this month as well. it appeared that my left was completely blocked and my right one was cleare but the spillage didn't happen like it should have. I was devastated for a couple of days and did a lot of google searches on the subject. From what I've gathered, there are some things they can do to help open the tubes such as a laproscopy. My ob/gyn mentioned this to me, adn I'm hoping to get it done soon. Do a google search on "obstructed fallopian tubes" or tubal infertility and you'll get more info. also, there are a few cysters who have had this problem as well, and ended up with bfp . Try to do a word search by clicking on the search button at the top right hand of this screen and type in blocked tubes or something to that effect. I found it more helpful if I searched all posts from the beginning (you'd have to go down to the bottom left hand of the screen and click on the thread button that says beginning). Hope that helps and good luck!! There is still hope and just remember you only need one tube to get pregnant

Thank you everyone .. Well both of mine are blocked .. I have never had any stds or pid ... They dont know what could have caused it , but hopefully I will find out soon...

Did you figure out what you're going to do? I've got a blocked tube as well (just found out today) along with all of our other infertility problems (anovulation, male factor).
I found out that my left one is blocked a few weeks ago. I have an Dr appointment on Friday to discuss options. There are plenty of options available and conceiving is possible. ((HUGS))

Hi Pearl. I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I just found out last month that my right tube is only 46% open and my left is 16% open. Not quite fully blocked, but that makes it pretty hard to ovulate!
