New Dr

Hey everyone I absolutely love this site. I am able to find out so much information. I am really excited because I feel that I have found the right dr. She was very informative and let me ask all the questions I wanted and didn't hesitate a minute to answer them. She did run some more test but she confirmed the diagnosis of PCOS and is pretty positive that it is what I had as a teenager which explains everything I went through. She did lower my dosage and because of all the complications I went...

Guess I should start off with an introduction....

My name is Amber and I just recently found out I have PCOS. I've never had "normal" periods. They were never like clock work. Sometimes they would be super heavy and only 3 days...other times they would be real light and last an entire week. I've struggled with my weight for 12+ years despite playing every sport imaginable in high school and despite a grandmother who had weekly weigh-ins and monitored my portions.

I love my soul Cysters

I just wanted to voice my appreciation and thankfulness for my soul cysters family. I have been suffering with
PCOS since I was 17 and until recently I have never felt so much hope and support. So thanks all, YOU ladies have made a difference in my life! hugs to all!

My aunt passed away

I was doing really well yesterday. I was dealing with the sugar cravings and eating what I was supposed to, then I got the news that my aunt passed away.

She was 50, my dad's youngest sister, and a long-time PCOS sufferer, diagnozed with uterine cancer last March. Initially, her prognosis was good. She had 5 chemo treatments that seemed successful, but when they went into to do the de-bulking (remove dead tissue), they discovered the cancer had metastasized to her intestines. ...

Chaotic Enjoyment

These last several days have been very busy, but in some strange way very fulfilling. I have gone from my 'best friend's' wedding, to nursing my husband back to health, and you'd think in there somewhere I'd get a break... Hmm.. For some reason that stroke of luck never seems to reach woman, not in any race or culture.
Well... I will admit, I started off to my friend's wedding with much pessimism, due to past experiences of getting burned, yet still I do not know how to find it in the depths
