I have been so constipated since starting metformin! Unreal! I hope it helps with my pcos, I got my first real period a week after starting it! I also hope I can lose some wt! I gained 8 lbs after stopping my birth control 2 1/2 months ago. Yikes! I have had pcos for years and I think bc helped it, but now I am using metformin to help me out.

I am in a state of shock and confusion. Went for my second scan with the NHS. Afterwards the nurse stated I had not ovulated (this being on day 14, I have long cycles between 40 days and 49). I'm doing an essay on PCOS and wonder if anyone has some info for me? I just found out that PCOS was discovered in 1935. Does anyone know the specifics on that? Were there any treatments available?
