new on metformin, have pcos

I have been so constipated since starting metformin! Unreal! I hope it helps with my pcos, I got my first real period a week after starting it! I also hope I can lose some wt! I gained 8 lbs after stopping my birth control 2 1/2 months ago. Yikes! I have had pcos for years and I think bc helped it, but now I am using metformin to help me out.

 |  wow usually metformin causes diarrhea... i did loose some weight when i first started metformin but kinda came to a dead stop at one point. but... good luck with everything... are u trying to get pregnant? |

| | thats right...i have been on metformin 1500mg a day for about 3 months and it did turn my stomack at the beggining. Now it's better but once in a while it will mess my tummy up. I was prescribed metformin even though I do get reg. cycles. but no BFP yet. good luck to u! |
