Insurance Question

Posted 01-08-2009 at 01:02 PM by Anderae
I don't ovulate due to PCOS and DH's SA was poor. We intend to pursue adoption, not IVF. Do you think it is safe to drop pregnancy coverage from our insurance policy? My thought is why pay for something that we (without some miracle) will never use. What do you think?

How much did you spend?

Posted 09-16-2008 at 06:40 PM by Anderae
My DH and I are Dx with PCOS plus poor swimmers. We were told my the OB Gyn to go straight to IVF. Our insurance doesn't cover a dime of infertility related treatments. We want a realistic idea of how to brace ourselves financially. I am interested in hearing what others have spent during this process. Are there any ways of making this process easier on us financially? Thanks for your help

My Situation - Need Advice

Posted 08-22-2008 at 05:33 PM by Anderae
I need to talk to someone in my same situation or I am going to loose it. Here goes - I suspected something was wrong after almost 2 years of ttc naturally with my DH so I went in for blood tests. I was Dx with PCOS at that time and was told about my options and the meds and such. Be it not good news, I was hopefull and optimistic that it'd work. My MD suggested that my hubby get a S/A. He did and it did not come back favorable. 75% of sperm were dead and the remaining were barely moving at...

Why am I not worthy?!

Posted 08-20-2008 at 12:59 PM by Anderae
My hubby and I have been ttc for almost 2 years with no success. As you all well know that is like a constant ride on an emotional rollercoaster. If that's not bad enough, we're surrounded by pregnant fools. You know - people who are pregnant that didn't plan it and really don't want to be pregers. People with unstable lives that are not interested in taking care of a baby let alone have the first clue about how to raise a child. My hubby and I are ready, willing, able and we'd cherish our...

How did I know?

Posted 08-08-2008 at 05:04 PM by Anderae
I learned only a couple months ago that I had PCOS and I honestly wasn't suprised. I had always had the gut feeling that something was wrong and that I'd have a challenging time trying to have children. As a child I used to tell my friends that I didn't think I would ever have babies. Weird! Gut feelings are an amazing thing. Did anyone else have this happen?
