Crappy Weekend

I had a truely crappy weekend this weekend.
DH and his friend had been planning a fishing trip on Saturday for the last couple of weeks. The lake is about 2 hours away and DH's brother lives close by so they were going to swing by and pick him up on the way to the lake. Well, let's just say it was an all day event that concluded with DH getting home at 1am....after I was already asleep. That's a Saturday I spent by MYSELF doing NOTHING. I couldnt even call my mom because on the weekends she's gone to stay on her houseboat which is also about 2 hours away. For some reason, this year her cell phone doesn't get reception which is weird since it did last year. It was hot and miserable and boring. I did get a little housework done.
Well, fast forward to Sunday. DH got a new job and they wanted to start him on Sunday at 10. Well, he originally thought it was 10pm, turns out it was 10am and it involved him driving as a team with another guy to Georgia and not returning until today sometime. So...repeat of Saturday with me being at home by myself with nothing to do. I got so stir crazy I thought I would go nuts! I don't have any friends. My sister lives 1hr and 40 mins away. It's been humid and miserable outside. It was just a crappy weekend.
There. I vented. Sorry.

| |  Thanks Heidi. DH is supposed to be home this weekend and he promised me he'd take me to the movies because he knows I love the movies. He doesn't so much, so that's his way of saying he's sorry when he feels guilty about something...lol. |
