Funny Stuff....

I had an OB appointment on Tuesday and everything looked great. They measured me and said I was right on target and of course we listened to the heartbeat which was loud and strong. They did, however, order more bloodwork. I have had blood drawn at every single appointment I've had. The last time was for my GTT test. When I called to get the results of that test, the OB Triage nurse mentioned that my ____ cell count was either low or high. _____ stands for something I can't remember. Maybe it was white cell count? She said it wasn't anything to worry about. Anyway, when I was there on Tuesday, the OB wanted to have more blood drawn to check that same count again. She told me it wasn't "anything to worry about" but she wanted to have it checked. Okay, I go along with it. I'm sitting in the lab waiting my turn and I look at the lab slip. "Sickle Cell Screen" is checked. Isn't sickle cell anemia a serious disease? And if something is "nothing to worry about", then why do they keep checking it? I feel like a freaking pin cushion. Oh...and I spoke with her about the numbness in my hands and it is confirmed....I have carpal tunnel. Yay!

Anyway....moving on. Is anyone else who's pregnant becoming increasingly more clumsy? I cannot hold onto a water bottle cap. I drop them at work all day long. My boss has been making fun of me and asking me why I can't hold on to anything. Oh...and ink pens. I can't hold onto those either.

Last night, Layla decided she would REALLY practice some dance moves in my uterus just as I laid down to sleep. She didn't move all day yesterday, she waited for 9:30 to do this. I laid there and she found one spot to kick repeatedly over and over again. I don't know what the deal with that spot was, but there was almost a rhythm to the kicks...like they were timed. Anyway, I decided I would roll over and spoon Mikey's back and see if he said anything. I laid there for a minute and all was quiet. All the sudden she starts back up to kicking and Mike starts giggling. I asked him what he was laughing about and he told me he was getting his a$$ kicked. Literally, the way I was positioned against him, she was kicking him square in his butt cheek. LOL.

Cute story. Luke would always pick about 11:30 every night to kick me right in the ribs. BAM BAM BAM BAM! I had to quickly roll over so he'd change position. He's a kicker to this day. DH was racked often when changing his diapers.

It was killing me how she was kicking the same spot over and over again like she was tapping her foot to a song or something. It definitely had a rhythm and it was NOT hiccups! I've felt those too...they're cute.

I am so clumsy as well, and it's really frustrating because it's too hard at 28 weeks to bend over to pick up whatever it was I dropped!!

That's cute about her kicking your husband, she's already trying to get Daddy's attention!

She is already his entire world and he hasn't seen her yet...lol. He's already coming up with things to say when boys come to the house to pick her up for a date. And he's constantly rubbing my belly and talking to her. Yesterday, he told me he can't wait to "meet the little turd". LOL.

I dropped and broke a glass on Saturday morning--it's like I can see myself dropping things in slow motion but can't stop!! I totally agree with the klutziness!!
