My Dr's appointment was yesterday. She decided against the Metformin and gave me a perscription for prometrium, clomid, and prenatal vitamins. So now, I take the prometrium for ten days, to induce a period since I haven't had one in a few months. Then in 3 or so days I'll get AF. On my 5th - 9th cycle day I take clomid, then sometime 5-10 days after I finish the clomid I will, theoretically ovulate. I am very hopeful. I think this will work! But I know it doesn't work for a lot of people, so I need to be realistic, also, I guess.

I can't wait to start the clomid though. It finally feels real, like we are really trying to have children. That's the only time during the week that I weigh, so it's like this big finale for my week. Big finale or big disappointment, depending on my week. It was a sad week. I was up by two pounds. My group leader had us set goals for the holiday season. Eight stupid weeks of seeing relatives, traveling, shopping, and seasonal goodies. My goal is to lose four pounds by January 1st and make my five percent.

Huh. When I write it down, it doesn't sound like a lot. But it is! Why is losing weight so freaking hard?

Anyway, besides the goal making, the meeting was pretty good. Meetings are either really good and motivational, or boring. I think the people sitting around you can make a difference. I had a bunch of small cysts on each ovary and a 10/11mm on each side, but it needs to be at least 16mm before triggering. I go back on Monday for another scan. The RE doesn't think I will O on my own before Monday. I've read that follies can grow any where between 1-3mm a day. I just don't know if the have to be a certain size for that to be true.
I'm hoping for at least 2 mature ones to give me better odds this cycle.
I also found out yesterday that I should not be taking Advil while TTC since it can push out ovulation and possible prevent implantation. JOY! Thanks RE for not telling me the last 2 times I saw you! Oh well, hopefully I didn't mess this cycle up.
