| I've had PCOS since I started my period. I had one period at 12, and then nothing for months. Through out middle and high school, my periods were irregular and incredibly painful.
At 16 I talked to my doctor about it and she put me on the pill.
At 17, they changed the law to where you have to have a pap smear to have BCP but I wasn't sexually active so I didn't get one. And honestly, didn't want one. I had irregular periods once again.
