So my family doctor called me about the routine blood work that I went for. He told me my cortisol level was over 700 which for a normal person he said it should be in the 500s. Is this something common with people who have PCOS to have high levels of cortisol? He wants me to collect my urine for a whole day and test it that way. Any comments or suggestions?

So my family doctor called me this morning to tell me the results of my pap test and he said everything came back normal but said that I would have to get another one in 6 months time.
I find it kind of strange to have to get another one if everything came back normal.
Any suggestions??

So I went to my family doctor the other day for my yearly pap test and to get sent for some routine blood work and a referral to see my OBGYN. When he was finished with the pap and before he then did an internal exam he asked me out of the blue if I could be pregnant. I said to my knowledge that I was not. I have been diagnosed with PCOS over 3 years ago now and when my OBGYN told me that I would have to go on metformin, clomid and also a drug so that I would get my period. He tested me on just a drug 3 years ago to see if I would get my period with being on the hormone pill which was not birthcontrol by the way. Me and my husband had planned on starting a family and then we held off and now 3 years later we are considering going on the meds later this fall when I make an appointment to see my OBGYN....
