Need to rant!!

Ok so i was feelng all positive this cycle but now im having crampy feeling that i get when AF is due, so i am thinking i may not have caught the egg this month and will have to try again, well this month was the first month i ever ovulated since having the pcos!
I have no clomid left and not another appointment to see my consultant until the end of may so i rang up my consultant and asked if i could have one cycle of clomid as it would be heartbreaking having to wait a whole cycle to try again after finally getting an O.
I got told that the only way i would get some was going to my local gp and asking him, so i tried and got told the surgery i am part of are not allowed to prescribe fertility drugs. I rang my consultant back and was told, well just miss this one it will give you an extra go in the end. So i am kinda furious right now!
I only Od on 150mg of clomid, and the consultant will only prescribe me 100mg cycles as he says they are not allowed to prescribe more but i had a few left over so when the 100 didnt work i just took 150 and hey presto it worked! Well when i go in AFTER my next cycle he will only give me enough for one cycle at 100.....i just feel like giving up completely. I have been with this same doctor for 5 years as he is the only fertility specialist around!
anyway im off to take my stress out on the housework.......

 |  aw, im sorry, chicka, that stinks! why will they not give you more than 100? i have seen people taking more that 100, if i am not mistaken. although i c u r in the uk, that shouldn't make a difference. if they can prescribe 150, it should be anywhere. have you looked around for any other drs that treat pcos or give clomid that are not fert specialists? maybe another gp? i get all my meds from my FNP she gives me met, synthroid, spiro, anything i need. i lucked up cause her daughter has pcos. but it's always worth asking. good luck, i hope you can talk your doc into giving you the dose you need not just what they want! |
