After months of feeling unwell, I went to the doctor. He did his blood tests and came to the conclusion that I have mild PCOS. All my levels were normal except my FSH/LH ratio. I have some acne problems, am probably IR, average weight. So he put me on metformin and worked me up to 1700 mg over a month and a half. My cycles w
ere always irregular and, after going off BC in October, were running 60+ days. My first full cycle on metformin was 38 days. AF showed up yesterday and made my second cycle 38 days too.
For the first time in my life, I might be shaping up to have regular cycles! I'm beyond amazed. My charts really show that I really have been ovulating. While that means I am disappointed we haven't caught an egg yet, I have to remember it's only been two cycles! Patience, girl!
This whole experience has been really unexpected and really stretching. DH and I have always talked about having children, ever since we knew we were meant to be together. It was quite a shock to get my PCOS diagnosis. It certainly has stretched my faith, but God is faithful and in my weakness and in my struggle, He is my strength! God is faithful and I have every hope that someday He will bless me and DH with little ones.
