Full Circle

Posted 07-02-2009 at 11:44 PM by Patah83
Well, life has completely changed for me as I finally get back in touch with my fellow PCOSers. I moved to the Windy City for school and got a Paraguard (the copper IUD) inserted on Friday. I don't have any kids or previous pregnancies and I must say it really didn't hurt more than a strong cramp and last an inth of the time. I seemed to have a cycle and well now I am dealing with a small bit of spotting. I am very excited about it overall. Oh, I got married in August blah blah blah. I got a new...

Don't miss the train

Posted 08-06-2008 at 02:38 PM by Patah83
Well, another week on met and I am still dropping weight despite not trying in the least. I have been on WW for awhile and totally started to slack when my 200lb hover arrived. Now I am not even working out and the lbs are dropping. It pisses me off a little so yesterday, I got off my arse and started my strength training again. I didn't move up on my weights because I haven't lifted since my mom visited around the 4th of July so I figured it was best to start slow. I must admit I am a bit disappointed...

Well, yesterday morning AF came to visit. She is rather light but something is better than nothing. I totally attribute this to my met. I am drinking some red raspberry tea to encourage all those to move along. I haven't had a visit in over two years all on my on. I am very excited about all this. I had tried for the last couple of months to just do supplements for my IR (chromium, alpha lipoic acid, fish oil) to no avail. I am hoping once I get to a lighter weight and establish regular cycles,...

500 seems good to me

Posted 07-26-2008 at 02:13 PM by Patah83
Morning- fellow PCOSers I have been on the Met for a few days now and I am pretty happy! I am definitely going to go get some sublingual b12 because it does seem I have lost a tidbit of my spunk. I must say this stuff really works. I used to be so hungry all the time and now I actually feel full when I eat. All I have to do now is conquer my urge to overeat- but I must admit that is getting squelched pretty fast now that I actually feel full. It seems before Met I wouldn't get the signal...

Meet Metformin

Posted 07-22-2008 at 02:45 PM by Patah83
Well, I started the Met yesterday I was way freaked out about trying it. Well, it wasn't all that bad. Someone suggested taking it in the middle of the meal and that is what I did. I found I didn't have any diarrhea attack or anything. I did feel way tired and nauseous but that might have been more from a lack of sleep than from the met. I have to admit it seemed to instantly kill my appetite. I took it at lunch and was fine with just a burger and water for dinner. I have the ability to never feel...
