If you are reading this, you are probably wondering what type of name is Peppagrl. Peppa is my younger affectionate cat, that'll rub you practially to death! He knows you'll rub him so he shows you his belly! And, so I called myself Peppagrl!
I discovered that I had PCOS after learning about it in my second year medical school. I just knew something was wrong with the acne, the endometrial polyps (diagnosed the year before), and no history of pregnancies. Apparently, with regular menstrual cycles and a thin body I didn't have obvious signs to a gynecologists. My RE has finally listened and agreed with me!
I also have endometriosis which I'm in the midst of knowing how to treat it with alternative methods via herbals, vitamins, diet, and yoga. I've been on Lupron for 5 months (love the no periods, hated the hot flashes) after a laparascopy dx. Right now I'm hoping to discuss my options with a nutrionist a naturopathic doctor. It seems that my PCOS, endometriosis, and fibrocystic breasts are all fed by high estrogen levels. It is well noted in books by nutrionist, Dian Shepperson Mills, and Dr. John R. Lee's books.
I'm also hoping I can adapt new meals and herbals to a soon busy lifestyle. I'm starting my residency this mid-June. So, I won't be here often, but I'll miss talking to the fellow cysters! I have to admit, none of my friends understand what we go through, especially those who don't have to deal with either endometriosis or PCOS.
Meanwhile, I've been lounging big time as many people suggested. Hoping to go on a lastminute vacation when the sales are right.
Anyway, time's a wasting...gotta go!
