A bit about my story

Posted 08-21-2008 at 04:24 AM by raydians
I'm 45 now. But I can still vividly remember being 12 and 13 and 14 and ... for years, checking my underwear... waiting to see blood. It never came!
And then I saw an endocrinologist who didn't diagnose PCOS when I was 21. At that time he said my "timing" was off. I didn't know what that meant, and still don't.! ! ! Then when I was 33 or 34, I got the diagnosis: PCOS. I didn't want to accept it at first, because I was told that I DIDN'T have it... not that I knew that much...

Drumming: and the P. P. P.

Posted 06-05-2008 at 04:03 AM by raydians
I have a djembe drum. I bought it many years ago (when I was still single, had extra cash, and was not a mom) after a wonderful weekend where I was invited to a baby shower that included a women's hand drumming experience. It was powerful, empowering and emotionally intense. Thus, I bought the drum, hoping to re-experience the moment I'd had. But after many years, I still haven't relived the initial experience. So many supplements ... so little time...
At 44... I just don't have enough time to do enough experiments to find what works.... and then try again in another few months... so I keep picking up another supplement when I hear something about something that seems reputable. My RE hasn't written me off yet... so I'm hoping that something will come together. My biggest hope right now is with a mix of prayer and soy isoflavones... with all my insulin sensitizers... Who knows what will work....
