I m reading it all most every where that womens having PCOS puts on too much weight n irr-regular periods..
But its not in my case. i havn't put on much. Though my periods are at regular intervals, but the days are going on decreasing. Previously it was for 6 7 days. Now its hardly 2 3 dyas. And on 1st day only its ok, for 2nd day onward just spotting,.... Also there is not much (all most NOT) bleeding, only clotted blood is discharged.
Also, the main issue is i do not bleed properly, all the flow is of Clotted blood in lumps ...
So i m bit confused.. but reports say i have PCOS.
ALSO 1 more thing, is PCOS is different from Ovarian Cysts OR Poly Cystic Ovaries??????
PLzzzzzzzzzz help me.........

| | PCOS is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, but some of the symptoms can be ovarian cysts. I have heard it called Polycystic ovaries, but they are usually talking about PCOS. Not all people with PCOS are overweight or have irregular periods. There seems to be a lot of varying symptoms in PCOS which makes this even more confusing. There must be something in your bloodwork that is telling the doctors that you have PCOS. If you have questions about what your symptoms are, call the doctor's office. A nurse or the doctor should be willing to talk to you if you are confused. Good luck. |

| | Yi i know what you mean with most people are over weight (like me lol) that have PCOS....my doc said that you have to have two out of three symptons to have PCOS...theres the cysts on your ovaries that show up on a scan, but sometimes they are in different areas of your ovaries so they might not show up...the second one is irregular or heavy periods...and another one is hormone levels. i have no cysts but have heavy irregular periods and i have higt testorone levels causing weight gain and unwanted hairs! You might have symptons of PCOS just that you might not know that they are symptons...plus the higher the levels of testorone then the more symptons x |
