Finally finding answers

Glad to find a world that makes me feel like I'm not alone. Just found this site. It has taken me many painful years to come to find out all of my medical issues that other people always made me feel like were not existent...truly are, and even make perfect sense. I have been in, and out of hospitals nearly as far back as I can remember. Always trying to cope with my latest wave of pain. My mother thought I was a hypochondriac.
Turns out I just have had PCOS, IBS, and Acid reflux disease. Not so made up.
Now, after all these years she feels horrible.
She could have curbed some of the long term effects by treating it eary. Man. I am glad she does, if only she could have suffered half of what I had to endure in silence, lest I be scolded and ridiculed. I had problems ever since my first mens. I was irregular. That was to be expected. The cramps got more severe with every month though, more than the other girls. I sometimes couldn't walk if I got a sudden "cramp". I sought out help, but they said it was "normal". Made me feel insane. So once after I had been mens. for a few years I missed my period for 9 months. I hadn't even kissed a boy. My parents thought otherwise. The docs were up a river without a paddle. No clue, no thyroid issues, no weight issues, but a clear hormonal imbalance. They claimed it was depression, and angst. Now I know otherwise.
It was the begining of the pain. Many nights struggling to find answers that didn't lay in plain sight. It was the begining of my journey that ends here. At last I can know I have PCOS. Some pains have subsided, now it's time to heal.
