Question Blood Clots/Pulmonary Embolism History?

Good afternoon!

Is anyone out there TTC with a history of blood clots and/or a pulmonary embolism? I had a PE in October 2007 that was triggered, they think, by a combo of BCP and my bad arterial structure in my legs. I've been to pretty much every kind of doctor out there and there is a consensus that I will never again take any estrogen of any kind in my life. However, we are TTC and I was diagnosed with PCOS in May. I've been on metformin since then which has helped me feel better, but we've got my first appointment since this summer with our RE in two weeks. I've lost some weight, but still no AF since May. I've got another 15 pounds to go to get to the weight they suggested would "trigger" things.

So, I guess I'm wondering where we're going to go from here and wonder if anyone out there has experienced this situation as well. The RE told me absolutely no clomid and I'm wondering what's next then?

Thanks!
