I have a question about blood pressure for those of you that are on meds for it. How high was yours when you were put on meds? Mine seems to be fluctuating for the last 6 months or so. It can be as normal as 120/78 to as high as 140/91, but lately seems to average out around 136/87. I'm not sure why it's fluctuating all the sudden. It's never done this until this year. Mine in the past has always been around 117/77. I have a doctor appointment next week, but do y'all think it's time for meds?

me personally do not get freaked out. Mine has been up and down like a roller coaster and I am on meds for it. The highest mine has ever been is 198/112 which is really high. You being stressed about it can make it up up or if you are not getting emough sleep. Eatting alot of salty foods, actually just day to day it can change it.

Actually I've heard that 120/80 is now considered pre-hypertension.
Mine is generally 110/70 (and the doctors are always shocked because I have a BMI of 41 its like the expect me to have high blood pressure). Last week I had to go to the doctor after my GTT (for a UTI) and he took it then and it was 130/90...obviously from the stress of all the needles. When I was in hospital last year they had to take it every hour and it was 100/60.
Honestly, I'd like to say don't worry about it but they say its the silent killer and that PCOS women have a higher risk of getting hypertension. I'd say no need to panic just yet but make sure your doctor keeps an eye on it.
