Default blood sugar

Today i went out with a good friend of mine to lunch and i ate what i wanted did i ever pay for it tonight. My blood sugar is high normally when i eats bad it drops low so this is a new one for me. I been so thirsty tonight and going to the bathroom loads i guess that makes since since i been drinking lot it got to come out lol. My blood sugar where in the high 120s range to 150s range this evening. I think i have gone over the line to being a diabetic sadly. it a good thing i am already on met. I learnt my lesson today i can't eat whatever i want. What do you all think of the number i had for my blood sugar tonight. I be going to my gp this week.

You have to be more specific about when you tested your blood glucose. To test after a meal you want to test two hours from the time you started eating.
Ranges are:
http://diabetes.webmd.com/blood-glucose?page=3

Blood glucose Fasting blood glucose:
70–99 milligrams per deciliter or less than 5.5 mmol/L

2 hours after eating (postprandial):
70–145 mg/dL (less than 7.9 mmol/L)

Random (casual):
70–125 mg/dL (less than 7.0 mmol/L)

Saille is right. You have to test 2 hrs after eating. Your number should be back in the normal range by then. If it isn't, then you need to see the doctor.
